Upgrade your Dx to 9.0C
See if that helps, but looks like you are missing files and that you have registry problems as well.
You may want to consider a reinstall or repair install of windows.

How about a repair install.

No you are incorrect, please follow support forum rules.
Reinstalling the game is not going to fix system problems.

No idea, what was the name of the error?

Trie to rename the AVI folder, wher you have installed HoI2, to _Avi.

Never seen that, are you sure there is no title of the window that displays that info?
Could you post a screen shot of it?

You told him to do something that he had already said he had done in the first post.
Ie Followed all my standard advice, which includes renameing the AVI folder. ;)

As for your last post, You are not "sure" if "it could be" ;)

Okay that makes more sense, the actual error message is the one you get first, "hoI2 has performed wrong operation or sth like that"

Also What drive do you have the game installed on?
What drive are you running your Virtual memory on?

You do not have much free space on that drive, can you free some up?
Also what about your virtual memory, is it running off that drive as well?

Also double check in the process tab that you have shut down as much as possible, and make sure you have nothing in the system tray.

That could be your problem, Reinstall and try the F drive.

I think a fresh install of the operating system would be a good idea at any rate to clean up those Dx errors.

"ents"
Are you calling me a wise old tree herder? :)
