HOI2 DD/ARM Critical Error!--- Error in DB --- After 1.2 and 1.3 Patches Installed

Receiving a Critical Error!--- Error in DB --- message after installing 1.2 and 1.3 patch to HOI2 DD/ARM...
Uninstalled HOI2 DD/ARM according to the manual uninstall instructions on the forum in order to be able to perform a 'clean install' and then checked everywhere for any remnants hidden or not and there were none.
Installed HOI2 DD and ARM both from the HOI2 DD/ARM disk and then tested it and they loaded and functioned just fine, then installed the 1.2DD patch and then the 1.3DD patch both downloaded from Paradox and then tested it and received the following error:

Didn't locate very much info concerning this on Google and there doesn't seem to be a search function in the forums that I could find and so tried scrolling through several threads in order to find a solution to no avail...
Do I need to install HOI2 as well perhaps???

Wrong patch.

You must uninstall, see sticky how to do it.

Then reinstall DD and Arma.

Then apply the 1.2 patch for arma

Thats strange as the patches that I installed were from the Paradox Website listed under HOI2 Doomsday1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 and Armageddon 1.1???

I don't understand are some of the patches bad then, why are they listed as HOI2 Doomsday and Armageddon patches?

There doesn't seem to be an Armageddon 1.2 patch, as here is the link to the HOI2 Doomsday and Armageddon patches that are listed on Paradox' site, after using the link just scroll almost all of the way down to Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday and Armageddon:

I have the HOI2 Collection which doesn't seem to have an Armageddon folder and appears to use the Doomsday folder, does this patch take care of just Armageddon, what about Doomsday or HOI2 itself?
Do I have to patch each part of the game then, sorry but the way Paradox did the patches seems a little confusing?

First install DD

Then install Arma inside the same folder. You shall not have a separate Arma folder

Then use the 1.2 patch for Arma.

Why is it so confusing? Only latest patch is needed, unless it´s a beta. And what is the latest patch depends on what game you have.

If you have HoI2 you use this.

If you have DD you use this.

If you have DD + Armageddon you use this and this.

Because there seems to be some patches listed for HOI2 DD/ARM that are incompatible or incorrect and there are also some conflicting instructions of which I installed the listed patches and followed the instructions only to have to uninstall and reinstall...anyway hopefully its all worked out now.
