It's the flag for Tropico, the island nation that shares its name with the PC game where you run your own Caribbean dictatorship (or democracy) from 1950 to 2020. I'm planning to mod my game files to where you can liberate Tropico from any single Caribbean island.

I can do it, but I have a question? What is the shield/crest? I would like to generate a cleaner base image before running it through the flag/shield scripts. The one you posted will come out pretty fuzzy :(

Awesome, oh and, you say your like a teacher of....computer stuff? >_< Anyways, ever thought of having the students try and create their own flags for a little project or something? That would be something I would find interesting if I was in that class.
 
T-Hiddeman, I was just on your website and I was wondering if it would be possible to get your french skin with the Fasces on the Vichy flag rather than the monarchy symbol.

Oh, I have graphics projects they find more interesting than that . . . :)

Like one where we take digital photos of everyone in the class and then use a variety of PSP tools to distort, blend, morph the faces, etc :rofl:

Well, therein lies a problem. The only decent picture I could get of the flag was in the game's victory screen, which has the camera looking out of a balcony, and the flag is draped from the balcony vertically so that you can see the crest from your vantage. I remade everything except the crest, which was too intricate for me to redesign, and flipped the existing crest so that it would fit.

It's generally a golden star, surrounded by a frame that has birds on the top areas. If it looks too terrible/blurry when made into a flag, perhaps it will be better to just have it done without the crest.
 
Well, not knowing your vexillological preferences I was left with nothing but a color scheme . . . so, I made three attempts. The first two are just recolorings of existing flags, the third I made totally from scratch. if these don't suit your megalomaniacal scheme of conquest, let me know and we can keep working :rofl:

I am creating a mod in which France turns Facist. Charles De Gaulle (top) and Pierre Laval (middle) are the two leaders of this government. Finally I always liked the arch de triumphe.

I've thought of the concept of a National Socialist France, but in my mind one of the first things it would do is "Teach Germany a Lesson!"

Is your fascist France like that, or is it trying to cooperate with Hitler, much like Laval actually did?
