Hi, i'm trying to play a MP game of hoi2 with my friend, but I can't seem to join his server. He's opened all the ports on his router. Does only the host need to forward the ports?

all players need to make sure they have:
the same game version (ie the same 4 letters on the loading screen)
firewall exceptions on or prefrebly firewalls off
router ports open (there is a list somewhere, not sure though where it is)
and lots of patience

Strange, this is the only game i've ever played requiring the clients to forward ports. Oh well, guess we'll setup a vpn.
