I've heard that HoI2 works really well under Wine (windows emulator). Since playing HoI2 is more or less the only reason I ever boot my machine to Windows these days (dualboot) I'm considering to give it a try.
Is there anyone out there running HoI2 under Linux who would like to share your experiences? Will it work as well as running it under Windows? Have you tried multiplayer?
