Try thise:

Have you tried cleaning it? If not, use a soft cloth, and gently brush from the center hole towards the edges of the CD. Do not use cleaning fluids, or apply a lot of presure, as this can damage the surface of the CD. Avoid circular motions while cleaning the surface.

For anyone who has followed the manual uninstall instructions, and still can't get things to work, here's what I did: I kept following the instructions, and kept getting frustrated. Finally, I stopped searching in the HKeylocalregwhatever area, and selected computer, and searched. I deleted everything I found, as usual (the keys are renewed each time to attempt to install it), and I found a folder that was the same, usual thing, but I deleted the folder this time, not just it's contents. Perhaps this gave me my victory? Heh. I'm happy
