I've notices since installing the new 1.02 patch that my monitor screen intermitantly flickers on a regular basis.

Is anyone else noticing thsi and if so have you been able to correct it and how?

Cheers,

GP

This is caused by something running in the back ground, music match is a popular cause for example.

Anything that updates a system tray program or minimized program will cause this effect.

What else did you change between then and now.
Find the cause and that should tell you the answer.

It was scarred of me. ;)

Hi all,
Just bought the game and this is my first post. Patched to 1.2 and got the same problem - flickering screen. Tracked the problem to Spywareguard. Turning off the real time scanning in Spywareguard stopped the flickering. There must be a conflict between Spywareguard's realtime scanning and the resources that HOI2 uses. So if you get a flickering screen and you have spywareguard installed try turning it of, it may help. All I have to do know is get my head arround the game - which will take a lot longer!

The most common culprit to this problem is your anti virus running in the background.

If you are not on the internet and don't need to be (your playing HOI2 SP) then the best thing to do is turn off your connection to the internet and turn off your anti virus.

Just my humble opinion,

Corey

Virus protection is not the most common culprit.
Just because it waas the cause of your does not make it the most common one. ;)
But thanks to both of you for the feedback.

I had the same issue and I narrowed it down to Music Match. I had to end the process on the mim.exe file...........kew
