On the ‘Hellenistic Empire’ tree, there is a mission where you have to have Alexander the Great as your god of war.

I had deified an old king (Antigonous’ son) and had a holy site in Seleukia Megale with the combined holy relic (gives +55% research, loyalty etc...the one where you combine several items).

I switched to Alexander for one cycle of 5 years for the mission , I then go to switch back to Demetrios...and then the portrait is the ‘placeholder’ one (the circle, triangle and square) and his holy site and relics are gone...

Effectively they got deleted...but surely if I don’t call on him for 5 years (as I’m not allowed to) despite having had him for about 40, he shouldn’t get deleted?

It’s just very very frustrating that there are some holes like this that things fall through... :(
