Story Time/ With the nation at war and our men drafted to fight in it the people are starting to riot. Because of taking away these factory workers,laborers,and farmers. The people have been left with less food,money, and supplies in general. With the Bread Riots breaking the last straw. Upon hearing of this President Lee decided that this could be his chance to blame the crisis on the conservatives for their protectionist policies and solve two problems at once the rioting and the slave issue./
Regular Gameplay Time/ we reshuffle the cabinet so I can outlaw slavery also we engage the British in the bloodiest battle of the war so far The Second Battle of Norfolk.

Story Time again/ On September,03,1874 the Confederate Congress narrowly passed the bill to make slavery illegal with the country reimbursing the ex slave owners. Although the Bread Riots were over there was a good percentage of the population that was horrified the government had outlawed slavery and started taking to the streets themselves. Even some Governors threatened to secede. Gone was the widespread popularity and approval of President Lee and his government. His Presidency started off with the highest approval ratings in Confederate history suddenly dropped by half. Within a week an enraged former slave owner plotted Lee's and Johnston's deaths hoping that the next President would get the hint and reinstate it. President Lee having made little public appearances since then decided to attend a play 'Our Dixie Brother' at a local theater in Richmond along with Vice President Johnston and their wives but a couple of days before the play Johnston's wife had gotten sick and they decided not to go leaving Lee and his wife alone so they invited at the last minute General Longstreet and wife. On October,11,1874 the day of the play an assassin snuck into the private box of the President and waited for the right time when the audience was laughing then shot the president in the back of the head. President Lee dropping back lifeless into his seat with the First Lady screaming at the sight of him making everyone notice the assassin's presence. The assassin thinking Johnston was there thought he could deal with the two frail old men in their late 60's especially with one of them being either dead or close to it but he was surprised when Longstreet (a healthy man in his early 50's who was still serving in the army) turned around. The assassin stunned for a moment realizing that his plan had gone awry allowed Longstreet enough time to take his gun away from him and tackle him to the floor. Immediately Lee who was still alive was moved to a house across the street under the care of the best doctors in Richmond. Sadly they could do very little and Robert E. Lee died in the early morning hours of October,12 leaving Joseph E. Johnston (who before the assassination attempt was in the middle of running for president) the President of the Confederate States of America.
Okay I know I suck at writing and I'm sorry for my poor attempt at it but I really wanted to try and yes I borrowed from the lincoln assassination. I know I'm unoriginal.
