When can we see these 2 features getting added? I feel like all of these DLC's like the Industries DLC and the Financial DLC has been paving the way for these features to come. I would like to see protesting as in where people come out to express there needs and opinions, also homelessness where tents can maybe pop up in random areas and take over parks and lower down land value. There just is not really that much intractability, and I would like to see these things getting added. I feel like this game is ready to get these 2 things hence we have 2 DLC's that paved the way for it. Protesters can take over streets for alot of reasons, low land value, bad services, high taxes, etc. Homelessness can be influenced by how many jobs there are and industrial/commercial buildings there are. The mayor can take action like activating police forces or by policy. Sim City 2013 had this level of intractability which was quite fun until you hit the limit of space. Id like to see this feature getting added at some point and having some sort of intractability.

Yeah Cities Skyline has always been lacking in the actual Mayor roleplaying aspect, just feels like a over glorified traffic manager game for the most part.

In Sim City 4 or heck even Sim City 3000, the fact that you could make utility deals with neighboring city and mayors, had petitioners / activist / lobbyist that asked you to either build or tear down a building like Casinos, Toxic Waste Dumps, Nuclear Power Plants, Military Base, etc... or asked you to implement or repeal certain city ordinances was what made the game feel alive. Things that you would actually encounter in a townhall / city board meeting.

Instead all we get are just pointless DLCs adding more functionally redundant buildings that should probably be included in the free patches for the base game, instead of any actual new major mechanics that are actually DLC worthy that have been requested for years.

I am sure they going to make the excuse that they can't implement utility deals, and petitions like Sims City games because of copyright infringement, which I call bs on because EA / Maxis don't own a copyright on basic diplomacy / negotiation screens or event dilemma dialogue popups that basically every Grand Strategy, City Builder, RPG game has.
