Horrible FPS and lag

Just another soul posting about their FPS/Lag issues. The game for me is virtually unplayable at this point.

Windows 7 Home X64
AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4Ghz
Sapphire Radeon HD6870
8 GB RAM

Even on medium settings my FPS drops to the 20's once enemies show up. Plenty of games which are much more graphically intensive run just fine. Also, setting my compatibility mode to WinXP SP2 or 3 has no effect whatsoever.

This game should be running on at least high settings with few problems, IMO.

Hello,
The latest game update has significant performance updates. Please make sure your game is up to date (Latest version is v5975, you can see the number in the bottom right on the game screen if you are in the "Play" menu) and try again.
