A feature of the German army in this period was horse drawn supply. I hope to see this in steel division. But am unsure it would fit the mechanics of a game like wargame.

This would be great. Just have the horses be slower and more vulnerable, don't need to simulate them needing food really.

Horses would not need food. Some of the supply wagons were actually nick named "horse murderers"... the big steel ones usually.

I really, really hope these will be in the game. Supporting this. Eugen has such an opportunity to give some myths of the all mechanised ubermensch German army a good smacking.

I agree. But I suspect that balance will prevent this "realistic" wargame doing this.

If we are going for asymetrical balance then maybe the German units should have higher xp on average, including elite ones. And USA using cheaper air units representing their air superiority.

Well No. It'll only be supply units and Guns for the Germans, which will balance out because a) German AT guns were better and b) slow horse drawn guns will be dirt cheap.

General fuckin' Motors.

I now understand completely why US production during the war was so good.

But sir, surely China's production in the modern age would've been damaged significantly by the one child policy?

I have a striking feeling you are trying to imply that Germany had so many 'Elite' soldiers
IMO it should be balanced around availability v capability just as Wargame is

This is great because then Polish, Soviet and various other cavalry or cavalry/mechanized divisions could conceivably be modeled in game, they would essentially be a leg infantry division that moves faster.

I am simply implying that since Germany was in the war since the start and were fighting the soviets in land and air years before the Nomandy invasion started then they must have better average experience in their army. The Americans had some battles in Africa, but you cannot compare that with the eastern front.
