I got the developer copy of LI to run, and it's now available on github for the brave and/or foolhardy to try out.

Known issues:
Still no tribal realms
No nomadic realms
No trade routes (due to our different map and province IDs, the vanilla trade route was bouncing all over the place.)
Misaligned alert icons

No events, and few decisions, have been updated so far. Regions have been done, but there may be unintended holes.

Reactions:
Alert icon alignment has been fixed, by reverting to the vanilla icon strip, which is longer, but has 2 icons erased that were still in the LI strip. Any graphics artist willing to insert the missing icons?

Version on github will not run under patch 2.4.2 beta. Cultures will need major rework for 2.4.2.

Still no tribal realms
No nomadic realms.

About this, I've transformed realms into tribes and nomads where appropriate in my local version, as follows:

- The general guideline for Tribals was: realms with unreformed religions of the "pagan" ( Celtic, Norse, Barbarian, etc... Civilizations ) kind get tribalized, as well as where it would might make sense for the lore, zones where culture would still cling to "the old ways". For example the Odin-Solar and Horsic Varangians in Novgorod have remained feudal to represent the "civilized" part of the Civilization attached to their religion , as well as the Slavic Christian Russians in Kiev, both due to Latin influences. In LI, Zimbabwe and Malawi in East Africa experienced a cultural revolution thanks to the influence of the nearby Persian and Hellenistic colonies, and thus they are Feudal, where everyone else in the zone remains Tribal. The same is true for the Mandinka in West Africa's coast and the Phoencian colony of Kambra. Meanwhile places like Ireland and Scotland are still divided amongst clans and their petty disputes ( Scotland in LI was even described as "Beyond the Wall" by Shay often ), so they are kept as tribal ( Even the Hibernicist realms ).

- For Nomads.... basically everything of Altaic culture in the Steppes + Avaria, the Pechenegs... and of course the Berbers. The Sogdian realms of Central Asia ( Serindia, et al ) and the Tarim Basin remain feudal.

I can upload it if everyone is OK, and then we can discuss further tweaks ( Specially balance, since troop size wise, the Tribals win the round )

Nomad buildings are set up for LI (tech etc. is wrong), and tribal buildings, while I set up conversions to LI castle and city buildings, still don't have LI style building strings. I'd leave out both for now, until someone is willing/able to do a building revamp.

The Steppe regions aren't set up right. Shouldn't be that hard to finish them up, but I'd want guidance on where to put the border between Eastern Steppes and Western Steppes, and what to do with the Tarim basin, Tibet and Kashmir. (When I was doing regions, I wasn't somewhere where I could run the game, so I just looked at landed titles and guessed what LI duchies were equivalent to vanilla duchies. The result: only one duchy in Eastern Steppes, and quite a number of holes in the region.)

Well, we can have them in with their vanilla stuff, in the meantime. With Riknap facing the Hordes of Education, I can't see anyone else taking care of the fine balancing. And I'd rather finally have the Tribals an Nomads in.

Well, nomad buildings at least need some preliminary work to change the techs needed to LI techs.

technically, it's currently a "massive preparation, hearts of iron style, for a battle to get a license" right now, since I practically have my diploma already (that has no industry-worth without a license) :p
but yeah, anything you guys could come up with is the best for now. as much as I'd really like to contribute (it's like an itch you just can't scratch), I'd rather not completely scupper my already abysmally low chances of passing my licensure exams on october ^_^
