I have question about hotels in Cities Skylines. Do we have them in the game? How will we build them - by zooning (in commercial zone, automatically ) or place individually when the city will be have tourists and attractions for example as awards or special buildings..?

I'd like to see hotels but not really as a placed item. I'd rather they occur organically as part of the underlying simulation. I could see placing things like resorts but I don't want to be placing the Motel 6 that sound like it would be too much micro-management. For me, these games are about how you can plan and design public infrastructure to promote private infrastructure, not a total control sandbox.

I used ploppable hotels as part of the small towns usa pack for SC4 but I much prefer hotels/motels be growable as a CS. The smart bet would be to allow buildings to be unlocked so there's no argument.

I kinda think they would make sense if you had a tourist attraction, and a certain percentage of commercially zoned area gets transformed into a noticeable hotel. Or well, why not just make it a completely separate section for tourism zoning
