Any word? Still nothing on DTRPG :p

Can't wait to see the physical copy - loving the PDF version already :D

Reports on Reddit I'm reading have listed some typos (King Crab at 80 tons), but that's a matter which may be out of the hands of the writers.

Obviously it was a King Krab - as that imitation stuff is less filling...

The part that is baking my brain are the maps of the reach around 2765 and 2890 - which introduces more unknown star systems. Or maybe ones that had names change but are offset position wise ...

I have to wait to pick it up, but once I can... :)

What I love most is that Chris Eck is now canonized in the BT universe. Though I'm surprised that he's only a Veteran-level gunner and Elite-level pilot, and he doesn't even have the Tactical Genius SPA.

It's also interesting that it lightly glosses over the events of the HBS game and focuses more on the current state of affairs as of 3025, which is looking pretty rough for the Coalition (which makes sense if we assume that it no longer exists as of the 3060s or so, when the region between the Concordat and Magistracy started gaining much more attention). I'd be interesting in seeing the Heavy Metal or later expansion give us some post-Restoration flashpoints to give us a taste of what House Arano has to deal with in order to try and regain the stability and loyalty that's gradually slipping away.

It is nice to get a sort of epilogue to the game (aside from the closing movie). I'm hoping someone makes the events in the House Arano book into Flashpoints :)

But, yeah, it was eck-sellent to see Eck in there ;) I was sort of expecting to see the Marauders canonized as well.

I was sort of expecting to see the Marauders canonized as well.
that would be tricky given how variable the details of the unit are in the game.
the impression i got is that the Coalition's 'Rampant Company' house merc unit was intended to fill that role, without having to set in stone a unit name, colors, logo, or commander name/appearance for the unit from the game.

We have a few mentions of Markham's Marauders and Darius Oliveira's "mercenary company" so they are canonized, just not with much detail.

Well we can make Beta the Patron Saint of AC/20 headshots....

What do you mean, 'wrong canonization'?

I´d rather see the MC vaguely canonized as "commander", like in XCOM.
Now i want a retire button after campaign end. Preferably with a screenshot off the MC buying a lifetime ticket for a Canopian pleasure circus (all those millions C-Bills should go somewhere).
No way Darius "Mr. Magoo" Oliveira gets to be the Marauders leader again while the MC is on board.
Bless his soul, as the MC would be dead weren´t for him.
But the guy can´t see an Atlas from a vantage point... Not to mention i blame him for giving the MC a almost bankrupt company to lead.
Alhough as XO, he still is the default leader if the MC vanishes.

I got my Print of Demand copy of House Arano last evening. I have not had a chance to read it yet but it looks good, the art is great and I am pleased to have a new addition to my BattleTech collection.

I should note for clarity, "The Marauders" can refer both to Markham's Marauders (and the Player's force once it's rebranded) and Mason's Marauders, those misfits who base themselves out of Zathras.
