Today more and more people use Linux. And, as the practice shows, very many are ready to pay for good games well.

And I including.
I have already bought game through Steam, but, unfortunately, I can not play without reboot in Windows.

Whether there is a chance of creation Linux of the version of game use, for example, libraries Mono?!

PS Sorry for my bad English. It's not my home language.
PPS Many Steam games are started well through Wine, but not Magicka =(

Seeing as the game is coded on Microsoft XNA, I'd wager the chances are pretty slim for a Linux port -- slimmer than for any normal game (how many Linux ports do you see for "normal" games? None.).

That said, I have no idea, no inside information, and am not part of the dev process.

For the record, I'd love a Linux version. But chances are... slim. I'd love Linux version for all games, but how many, normally sold games for Linux are there? Practically none, at least not for games that the average Joe would think of.

I know, I know :)

I'm talking about games you can buy in a shop, games that get (at least decent) paper-magazine coverage.

I'm all for Linux games. Then I could finally ditch Windows for good. :)

I'm currently dual booting Windows and Linux, and with Steam rolling onto the later I am kinda torn between buying games from devs who are not supportive to new, open platform supports. I already own the whole game from a friend as a gift. Now, with the holidays coming I'm willing to gift back, however, I am hesitant. I'd like to play this game under Linux. I'd like to RECOMMEND this game under Linux. But it doesn't run natively in the Steam on Linux beta currently. Any plans for that, developers?

I have no inside information, but the game was built on some kind of Microsoft XBOX toolkit. So I believe the changes of s LInux Magicka are next to zip.
