How Do I Activate DLC?

I purchased CKII through Steam, with all of the available DLC. Since the Steam launcher for the game doesn't work, and the patch it recently released does not fix the problem, I have been manually loading the game via the exploits described throughout these forums. I also took the DLC from the DLC folder, and put the content from its folders into the appropriate folders from the root directory of CKII, and (in the case of the music files) modified the relevant txt file to ensure that the files were recognized. This has not changed anything. Any assistance would be great.

You should not move the dlc files from the DLC folder as thats where the game will retreave their content. You have to uninstall the game and manually delete the game folder from steam -> steamapps -> common. You also have to delete the Crusader Kings II folder in my documents -> paradox interactive. If you want to keep you save games move them somewhere else before you delete the folder in my documents folder. Then reinstall the game.
