We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
You need to patch the game to 1.3a. Thats the most common version. It can easily be found on this forum.

I used to have same problem, but I don't play using Valkyrienet, but using hamachi-LAN-system. I fixed this problem by sharing .exe file of HOI2 with other people (the four-letter text in right top corner of main screen you must have same as host)
