How do I edit counters?

I happen to have done a lot of work editing and creating new counters.

Here is a quick synopsis of what you need to do:

1: You are working with 8-bit files, so ALWAYS copy your original, Open it up in something like GIMP.. as you need to be able to do 400-800% enlarging of the image.
.. actually.... I'll write a TUTORIAL if you or more people would be interested?
