how do i export to hoi2?

i realise this should be in faq but i cant seem to post in there so..

iv played up to the end of victoria revolutions, and have done the export thing to doomsday making a save game. however i do not know what to do next - it does not appear in my hoi2 saved games list or anything, so help would be much appreciated. i'm playing a modded version of armageddon which may be a problem i realise. i am very stupid when it comes to fancy moving around or changing of key files etc, so dont want to experiment.

You just simply need to move it from the save games folder under Victoria to the save games folder under HOI, so that the HOI program can locate the save file.

I don't currently have my HOI-Armageddon loaded so I'm not 100% sure of the HOI location.

Hmm. Check that. That should be move the file from the Exported Games folder in Victoria to the Save Games folder for HOI.

Did I mention I broke my glasses earlier this week? :rofl:

haha no worries man, i tried it and it worked so thanks a lot. the export is crappy though, i have almost no ic.

You might want to go hang out in the HOI forum for a bit. I believe that they have a user-created export utility or two that does a better job of exporting Vicky to HOI.

Also, the export works a lot better when using the 1914 scenario instead of the Grand Campaign, or so I am told. I've never exported a game, so what do I know?
