Well, how?

I know im getting a pretty big amount of cash in january, but i would like to know how I can figure out what I will earn if i rise my taxes and so on.

Thanks in advance!

""""""""" How do I figure out my annual income?"""""""

Well, look at your paycheck ( only if you are employed) it should tell you the weekly salary. Now multiply it by 52 ( we have 52 weeks in a year) and you will receive the yearly amount...
I hope that my help and services provided will be well rewarded.

In the ledger there is a page with your annual income. It gives all your income, both you annual and your montly income.
...and the only annual income is the census tax...

Umm...forgive me for my ignorance, but what is a "ledger"?

In the leger...

The Taxation and Production Breakdown is very useful for this purpose. It summarizes your census tax, manpower and production income for the year.

I haven't taken a look at the ledger but if you hover your mouse cursor over the province income it says the yearly province income is made of taxes, production income and trade taxes. This would run contrary to what you guys are saying about what the ledger says. This also runs contrary to the crappy manual that comes with the game. I'm assuming yearly income means the annual income paid once a year in January and not the sum of a year's monthly incomes. At least the pop up text of the current savings (in the top right corner) makes that distinction. Why doesn't Paradox step in and explain the bizzare income model?

Well, you just have to make up your mind about what info you trust the most, my FAQ or the ingame popups =)

I think I'll go with the pop-ups as those were written by the programmers. I took a look at the ledger last night and found it much more confusing than the pop-ups as under income it had separate entries for "trade" and "trade taxes" and for "census tax" and "taxes" if I remember correctly. Really confusing. After studying the pop-ups I have a pretty clear idea of what contributes to income and how to get more income, but I'm still confused about how the game calculates the amounts that go to monthly and annual income.

Robo, that overview says that census tax is the only source of annual income. Like I said that doesn't agree with what the pop-ups say and I kind of doubt the overview is correct. Then again I don't have 100% faith in the pop-ups either but I trust them more.

How many more time do you need to be told that the ONLY yearly income is the census tax ?

I, as well as many others, have repededly told you how it IS. If choose not to listen, why do you bother asking ?

I'm not asking anything, I just don't think those of you who think census tax is the only source of annual income are correct. My ledger certainly doesn't show census tax as my only source of annual income and like I said both the pop-ups and manual say there's more than the census tax that makes up the annual income. So don't take this the wrong way, all I'm saying is that you might be wrong.

It's quite easy to find out. Note your treasury on december 30, then on january 1st and the difference is your annual income + your january monthly income. Since you know you monthly income, you now know too your annual income. Then look at the ledger, and check what is the correct answer (taxes alone or taxes+ something else). Actually, I did that once and I believe I found out that the manual was correct, though I'm not absolutely sure. I'll check it. Anyway, even if the annual income is taxes+something else (trade's tolls?), taxes are by far the most important part of it.
