Hey guys! I just recently got the Roads to Power DLC, and I'm still figuring out administrative governments so bear with me if this is a basic question.

I just accepted a Governance Issue, and when I did it put me into the travel interface. I didn't have any good caravan master candidates, so I backed out of the travel menu and made the decision to find a caravan master. A couple of in-game days later, I have my brand new caravan master and am ready to hit the road. However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to initiate travel. I have the icon for the Governance Issue at the bottom of the screen, but when I click on it the only option I have is to abandon it. I can't find a button to open up the travel interface anywhere. How do I start traveling?

Thanks for the help!

Hmm, what's the travel activity called? I know that some activities like a Pilgrimage or joining an ongoing tournament results in you traveling, but I don't see any other option to travel, and I don't see an activity option for this Governance Issue.

The Governance Issue should be on the map, try clicking on the banner above the barony;

If it's still showing only the option to abandon it, can you share a screenshot of the Issue Contract?

Sure! I saw the Governance Issue on the map, got the popup you show, and clicked "Take Contract". When I did that, it put me in the travel interface. I exited out of that (before traveling) to look for a new caravan master, and now I can't find how to get into the travel interface again to actually go and complete the Issue. Here's a screenshot of what the Governance Issue looks like for me now:

There are no related Decisions. The Issue shows up in the Governance tab, and clicking "View Governance Issue" brings up the same window as clicking the Governance Issue's icon at the bottom of the screen. I don't see any option to travel.

I’ve had similar issues as an unlanded adventurer, where I accepted a contract, clicked on the ‘travel to contract’ button (it’s been awhile, I don’t remember the details), backed out of the travel so I could look at something else, and then couldn’t take the contact. I don’t think I’ve remembered the exact steps 100% correctly, but your situation feels very familiar to me.

I’ve always had to abandon the contract and go for another instead.

Might help to make a bug report, since backing out of traveling to accept a contract/governance issue seems to have undesired results, at least for some of us, some of the time.

IIRC you had to right click your character and there is an option saying “resume travel” or something like this. Maybe you can try if it works for the governance issue. Either it’s like that or I completely made it up (unintentionally).

I just checked and I don't have any options related to travel when I right click my character unfortunately. Maybe that option shows up if your travel gets interrupted at some other stage after you depart?

I remember being able to resume travel as described while playing as an adventurer. And I would say it was before starting to travel, because I left the travel planning screen for some reason, as you did. Then I could not figure out how to resume it until I found out about that right click option. That’s why I though it could work analogically in your case, but maybe ithis doesn’t apply to governors.

I had this same issue playing yesterday. Accepted the issue, backed out of the travel screen before starting to travel and could not get back to the travel screen to start.

Had to abandon the event and accept a different one.

Yes, please report it! This seems suspiciously similar to the same bug that was happening with Adventurers where this screen would disappear for certain jobs, but was previously/hopefully fixed. Seems to now be an issue in Admin govt.
