Stupid question, isn't it?

But here's the issue: I downloaded epigoni mod, extracted it, put the files in my mod folder. But when I launche the game launcher, well, I can't select the mod.

What's wrong?

Check your mod folder, and make sure that both the folder "Epigoni Mod" and the file "Epigoni Mod.mod" are inside of the mod folder.

Both of those have to be in the mod folder, I'm thinking you might have extracted them both into a new folder that is inside of the mod folder, in which case the game won't see and recognize them.

in the mod folder (Europa Universalis - Rome/mod) you should have two things: the "whatevername".mod file and the "whatevername" folder. If this happens, in the launcher, when you click in default it should appear a list of the mods. If the files I indicated are in the correct place, it should be possible to chose the mod and run.

EDIT: emu'd

note that if you press on the old desktop icon, it might bypass the screen and start the game, not giving you a chance to select the mod. (this might be only if you haven't uninstalled the non-gold version as I did not...).

I had to replace the desktop icon with the new one in the folder to get the startup screen allowing to choose the mod.
