how do the rebels move from prov to prov. do they take the path of least resistence in regards to movement cost? do they make a beeline for their native nationlal capital, thier new capital(me)? or is it totally random? just runnnign around looting?
anyone?

In the traditional style of modern urban rebels, their chief aim is to obtain, and smoke, as much cannabis as possible, so they head towards whichever province looks as though it might be a likely source. Hence the saying, "pot luck."

Um, I think Heyesey's advice might not be exactly what you were looking for. :D

I do not know exactly how the computer decides where the rebels are going. Although I suspect it is random. Otherwise, you'd be able to predict their path. And that wouldn't be any fun.

Yes, indeed-and they do it very slowly...................

It does appear they may have a preference for the easier terrain, but it doesn't always follow.

im just glad i got heyesey to answer 1 of my posts:)

i guess it is random, i was just curious if there was a pattern, that i hadnt seen.
thanks

It is not random. Errant One (I think) figured it out. There is no predictable system to the movement. You have to observe what the rebels do for each province. But, they will always do the same thing. Rebels will always move from province X to province Y.

Errant came up with the diabolical scheme of using revolts to defeat invaders:
1) Retreat your army to some safe spot. Your government is in "exile", so to speak.
2) Change your religion slider to totally not support your religion.
3) Massive revolts occur, and attack the country that has invaded your lands. If the rebels capture a province from a country that controls it, the control reverts to the original owner. Brilliant!

We have not determined any pattern in rebel movement. It is clear however, they must be defeated and returned to their rightful Nobel. :D

Yes bring out the high explosives, that'll settle their hash!:D

Errant's strategy does seem somewhat risky, although it does prove he's been playing too much EU. However, I'm sure I've done it myself to a limited extent-if they're nowhere near your capital, a rebel army's as useful a distraction for the enemy as anything!:)

They may be rabble, but you don't pay for them, you mean? ;) Never pass up on a free meal.
