My biggest gripe is not being able to use a combined arms group effectively as it is just a mess moving them forward and attempting to keep them together. The faster units rush forwards and get themselves picked off first while I am managing the other end of the field.

I am constantly frustrated by instead of playing the game, losing units to a poor interface that has units wandering into fire.

If I CTRL-1 a group will it stay together and move at the same speed?
 
Well, generally the units move very slow altogether, but I agree, there should be a function that would allow units move at the same speed as the slowest unit in the group.
 
That would be nice, I agree.

a couple more suggestions I have would be to add a hotkey for the range and line of sight of the selected unit and being able to select multiple units while the game is paused just like in the deployment phase (I mainly play skirmish).

While we're at it, it might just be me, but there's numerous times when I miss the audio cue that we're going into the next phase. How about something visual that catches your attention when that happens?

Lastly, it would be nice if the range of all weapons of a unit was displayed instead of just the longest range one. That way I don't have to look at the unit card and guestimate what the range for the infantry at gun is.

With the strike, I think these are all simple changes that would greatly increase qol of the game that doesn't require lengthy patch work?!
 
yes all of hose interface changes would be good. I think they tried to streamline sd44 ui too much. I believe red dragon had a lot of those things.
 
Groups moving together sounds good. But when i think a little more about it, its never a good idea to move ground units as a group, they will stand way to close together. I think there's no other way than micromanage every single one.

Interface could be useful to, but on the other side, some units have 4 different ranges.
