I won a war against the Ottoman Empire, and freed the Balkans. I want to create bulgaria as my vassal.
The problem is that in the list of availible vassals, Bulgaria does not appear.
Why do certain vassals not appear? Is Bulgaria not exist?
Is there a death date that makes it so that vassals are only allowed to be released during certain times?
I would really like to make Bulgaria my vassal. :)

That's strange. As long as you hold either Bulgaria or Rumelia and Bulgaria does not exist, you should be able to release them.

Can you post a screenshot or something?

I think you must own both Bulgaria and Rumelia.

BUL = {
date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1419 }
expirydate = { day = 31 month = december year = 1820 }
minimum = { 321 356 }
extra = { 320 358 }
capital = 356
group = orthodox
}

And if Bulgaria became Muslim, you'd might want to add a "religion = orthodox".

The min list is not implicitly "and", it is implicitly "or". That is, the OP must have one or more on the minimum list.

To the OP, try saving/reloading the game. Sometimes it doesn't seem to notice possible vassals immediately.

I think, MYMAP+AGCEEP does not have Bulgaria as a country.:wacko:
Instead the BUL tag is given to Brienz Lientiz.
So I had create the minimum provinces to be all the MYMAP provnces representing Bulgaria instead of those German provinces.
The lack of bulgaria is a on oversight of the MYMAP but it can be added in.
I just don't know how to change its name so I have to make do with Brienz Lietnz being Orthodox and having Bulgarian culture:)

This post inspired me to do some modding for the first time :p
The triggers are VERY straightforward :D:D
