How do you ask an ally to join you in war?

I'm fairly constantly asked to join wars by my ally. How do I ask them, or is it automatic once I go to war?

I dont think you can ask them that. Works only for AI. Maybe they will implement it later.

I havent done it but if you get to a point where you have a Non-aggression pact, cant you ask for the Alliance through the diplomacy screen?

As far as i understand he's already allied and now wants to ask his ally to declare war against his enemy, like the AI does after the last patch.

EDIT: I haven't found a way to do it so far, so i suppose only the AI can call the player to war, like Vind already said...
