I realize that when you take over an enemy city the denizens are not too happy with you..thus population suffers. I am wondering what controls population and what is a good tactic to increase it in cities that where once hostile. Im actualy LOVIN' this game...holding my own on medium difficulty but still a few question marks on mechanics.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I just recently answered some questions like this in another thread: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?649304-Game-Mechanic-clarifications

In short, population growth rate is fixed, and slows as you get bigger. Being of a difference race, or having negative food in your empire decrease growth rate, while spells like Prosperity and Blessing of Life increase it.

Thanks Zechnophobe!
I actualy saw your excellent thread before making my way over here to posting. I may have missed it..there was so much good info packed into the thread. Anyhow, you have cleared it up for me..I knew about the spells (from your thread) but was not aware of the fixed population rate and that food had a bearing on the fixed rate.
Thanks again.
