How does a three-way battle work?

Ie. axis player versus allied player versus comintern player all at war with eachother arrive at the same province. What happens?

So far I have been unable to test this because the guys I played with were chicken and didn't dare test it But I'm sure someone did, so please tell me.

: Arrive at same time
Only one will get the province the rest will attack him it's the way the game works.

: If england is guarding a province and soviets and germans attack
England is in province so soviets attack beat the living day lights out of english then germans attack and continue to rape english from another side and now soviets and germans begin moving into province now english are dead first one to arrive is attacked by other so if soviets arrive first the germans attack them......

So did you actually see a battle where one party was defending and the two others - also at war - were lumped together on the attackers side?
