For myself, i use less than 5 mods and no assets.

As i want performance and no sudden deaths to the game.

Ive seen people having 900+ assets with 90+ mods.. How and why.. Just why..

And most pcs that do this doesnt even have a good pc at all, but still pulls it off..

And i know this game is cpu-heavy already from before.

So, my general question is, how many mods do you use? And why exactly?

What does your mods advance for you that the vanilla doesnt?

Very few, but more than you. None of them interfere with the games AI. Just small mods that make the game easier. The only big mod I use is TMPE and only to manage intersections and disallow left turns.

BTW, this would better be posted in the General forum. More people will see it there.

I just counted: 18 mods

- Automatic Emptying -- It is micro which is ok at the beginning of a city but when everything grows the manually emptying is just horrible.
- Building Themes -- An actual ingame UI and the possibility to incorporate vanilla buildings.
- Mod Achievement Enabler -- My second mod right after i subscribed to Automatic Emptying. There is no fun or challenge in such tasks.
- Move It -- Place roads where and how i want them to be.
- Fine Road Anarchy -- In case there is some tricky spot.
- 81 Tiles -- Obviously to facilitate the whole map.
- Loading Screen Mod -- Increase performance and spot problems with assets.
- Extra Landscaping Tools -- Vastly improve the possibilities to terraform and a tree brush.
- Surface Painter -- Custom farms and industrial areas just need their respective underground.
- Clouds & Fog Toggler -- It makes the game more beautiful for me.
- Less Steam -- Increases performance.
- Traffic Manager: President Edition -- For the sole purpose of removing all traffic when the map entrances/exits stuck.
- Airport Roads -- To build custom airports.
- Find It! -- Currently i don't really use it, but this should be a game feature.
- Advanced Toolbar -- I am on a pc and i don't need to scroll through 1 dimensional lists when i can have a grid.
- More Beautification -- To place props.
- Growable Thumbnails -- For my own RICO assets.
- RICO -- To place exactly the right building where i want it to be.

I try to keep the list free of mods wich break the game if i remove them.

~150 assets

Mostly assets to build thematically areas like airports, industrial areas, harbors and medium sized buildings between high and low density. And futuristic buildings because i like it.

Mostly I use the two basic ones (unlock everything, unlimited money), plus the Theme Building manager too.

If I want to do a bit more with the map I have, I'd add More Beautification, Prop Line Tool and Extra Landscaping Tools to the list.

And if I like to use more than the 9 tiles, I'd use 81 Tiles too.

So that makes seven at most right now.

I like RICO too, but atm it's still not working properly.

I have a bunch of half-timbered houses that I like to use because I like those for the Old Town parts of a city.
