is it 1 for each worker or someting else? I am planning to make a tourism start (because game decided to give me 4 water instead of a single rare metals) so since I gonna have too many pops at once want to make sure I have enought of everything
just started playing this game loving it (bought it super cheap at steam) and playing as terraforming supponsor. (yes I know not most begginer friendly start but what I lacking is not funding or managing instead I mostly expand to other resources too late :D)

Any idea too how many visit per time period?
Actually, i ask myself this alot too. Is it 10 pr sol or is it more? Is it 10 pr shift? Often times, i see colonists conplaining that they were not served, this deserve a better tooltip!

How ever many want to / can?
You sure? If that is true, then why do i see colonists in megadomes with several service buildings of same type, not getting served? Also it says building is full, so i dont think it is infinate?

I can say with certainty its at least service capacity per shift. So a service with 10 capacity could do 30 people per sol. However some services people do not hang around an entire shift for. Grocer is a good example of this. I regularly see people walk up to it, grab a food, then go.

Also, I don't think people show up to services at night unless they work on a night shift.

Some tips on tourists I observed since doing a game based on them recently. A single standard rocket at standard speed (not SpaceY, no rocket speed breakthrough) can maintain two loads of total tourist population on Mars. So with a starter rocket you need to account for 24 tourists if you are on the ball with your rocket turnaround. There are two standard techs that increase passenger limit. One early, one late. These obviously increase your income potential. There is also a terraforming tech that increases your per tourist income that is worth chasing but note that it is always middle tier and terraforming techs are expensive bastages.

They do use service buildings at night even if they work during the day, if there's a shift in the service building working. I'm glad they think of us poor insomniacs.

As a Rule of Thumb 1 Open Space = 6 to 10 People. (Why so big of a window below).

Found this written by a developer on the steam forums by developer mnemeth in 2018.

"
Well, if it's widely perceived as a balance issue, it won't be ignored.
However, a single fully-staffed Grocer would easily service up to 54 Colonists per day (18 per workshift), and a Diner would service up to 60 Colonists (20 per workshift). Given that the Diner satisfies Dining, Social and Food and the Grocer satisfies Food and Shopping, they should be enough for 50-60 or more Colonists."

So looks like services can take double the number on screen per workshift.

So smallspace bar (4) can actually serve 8 people at day, 8 afternoon and 8 night for a total of 24 people. Remove the ones that never drink and this go even higher.

This also tells that if jobs is not a issue its better to spam the smaller version of services. (as 2 services get pretty close to the big one saving you 3-4 hexes for something else).
