Like wind and twittering of birds. I would love to make a Ck2 sound atmosphere mod.
In game it feels like there exists only a limited gamewise sound system. Is it possible for this system that sound can link to map specifics like different climates/regions(mountains, desert, steppe etc) or even specific coordinates like towns and their buildings and/or owners in religion and culture: ie listen to a muezzin at islamic Jerusalem when zoomed in.
So far I found only the file sound.sfx with defines look like little structures which differs in file location and volume. Maybe a developer can tell me if there are other members of that structure not used in that file and: can i create new sound events?
Btw cityambiencemideast.wav doesnt work, in all cases i click a city the sound cityambiencewest.wav appears.
I know sound isnt a matter of highest priority for a game like CK2 but maybe here are some guys who feel like me sound can give a big boost to atmosphere.(see map scrolling and sound @total war games)
edit: I just recognized when u zoom out and in the sound(zoomedoutambience.wav) differs in volume so i hope you can use the z-axis as indicator in external files.
