I am playing using 1.02b, and in addition to the problem that if I control all of a minor's provinces, I can only annex them because the 'cancel' button does not work on the first screen (Do you wish to annex?), I have something else that has happened that I find strange. Playing as the Teutonic Knights, since achieving Level 4 in trade and infrastructure, I have received THREE times the random event that cuts in half the amount of investment done on these two 'techs.' How random are random events? Do they strike some powers more often than others?
I have received the following random events in this game, in roughly the following order:
1) province changes religion
2) fortress gains level
3) +688 gold
4) addition to investment in particular tech
5) investment to date in trade and infrastructure techs cut in half
6) military revolution
7) investment to date in trade and infrastructure techs cut in half
8) province changes religion
9) investment to date in trade and infrastructure techs cut in half
(I forgot how they fit into the order, but I also have had 3 alterations in diplomatic relations, two with everyone and one with Austria in particular.)
Any answers from Paradox?
