in the past all i had to do was drag files to Dynasty, Character History, and change a title history and i'll include myself into the game but now any file modification just cause ck2 plus not to read and cause the game to boot as vanilla how can i resolve this issue?

I mention this issue before and never really receive a response I've attempted everything that i can think of including re archive the files with the new files included as ck2plus

fix it on my own i had to edit the ck2plus.mod file and change the ck2plus.zip to just ck2plus and then remove all the files from the archive file and just make a folder for ck2plus I honestly have no idea why they change this in the first place. Well now i can enjoy CK2plus once again. I believe most likely the root of my issue was due to the fact i don't use .zip or .7z i'm a winrar user but i could always be mistaken.

so a bonus out of removing the files from an archive is VIET compatibility mod (which the original modder stated was incompatible) and Portrait Realignment mod (with some tweaking) now also magically work. : )

Steam workshop automatically archives mods (I assume they do it to save space).

^ this. The version I upload actually looks like what yours currently does, Steam automagically archives it.

P.S. You could always just make a sub-mod so you don't have to re-do it every time you update CK2Plus...

How did you edit the .mod file?? Having a similar issue myself and after some googling the only solution I can find is downloading JVC software, is that it??

You can edit the .MOD file with a notepad or any simliar program. Then right-click the file, open with notepad and edit what you need.

That should help you.
