Massachusetts Socialism all the way! However, the whole "CSA" thing won't really work, considering that the CSA was in the South. Look for New England and the Northern Union to be formed(hopefully) though.It's got to be Massachusetts for a Socialist USA

How to Be Completely Mediocre at Playing Your Own Mod Part 1
Hello everyone, and welcome to this AAR! I'd like to thank everyone again for voting on my country choice, and I hope all of you will be watching this.
Anyways, Massachusetts was the winner by a decent amount, with most of the rest of the votes being split between Ohio and South Dakota.
First off, let's take a quick look at the overview of Massachusetts.
We are bordered by New York to the West, who is basically all-powerful. To the North is Vermont and New Hampshire, 2 small states that I can conquer in separate wars.
To the East is the Atlantic (And Europe if you keep on going far enough). And to the South is Rhode Island and Connecticut, 2 more small states that I can defeat.
Our leader is a 7 Administrative, 7 Diplomacy, and 5 Military, so I'll be keeping him for a long while.
Our current mission is to conquer New Hampshire, which I can do handily if they don't have any allies.
I take a move towards free trade to start things off. This is not because I plan on trading much, but more because I don't want to risk any revolts to mess up my opening moves.
Now, before I attacked New Hampshire, I noticed that New York had a mission to attack Vermont. This could not be allowed to happen.
So, to counter it, I decided to attack for a major stability loss, to hopefully prevent New York from annexing them.
Luckily, I arrive there first, and I use New York's massive amounts of troops to assault the fort, making things go much quicker than it normally would.
Vermont is annexed soon after I win the siege.
Now, I decide the time is right to attack New Hampshire. I build a cavalry division, and then war is declared.
Right when I declare war, I get an alliance offer from New York, which I heartily accept. This makes things much, much easier.
Maine is new Hampshire's ally, so I must be careful to watch out for them getting an edge on me.
Luckily for me, New Hampshire had no troops for some reason. Maine, meanwhile, sent their troops through uncolonized lands to the North and started sieging my provinces.
I managed to win the siege of New Hampshire before they won any of theirs, and I annexed New Hampshire, ending the war.
My new mission was the conquest Maine, but I'll have to wait 5 years to do it.
I decided to insult both Rhode Island and Connecticut in anticipation of war with them both.
Then, I attack Rhode Island with no casus belli.
After I win the siege there, I attack Connecticut.
They are both annexed for 8 infamy each, putting me about 3 infamy away from the limit of 32.
I receive a gift to the state while waiting for the truce with Maine to run out.
Also take a look at the map of the whole U.S. if you want to.
Then, it is time to attack Maine. Infamy has fallen to 27 by this time.
Maine is annexed, bringing my reputation back up to 28.
My new mission is to improve my horrible reputation, which is not really much of a surprise.
Anyways, once I white peace out of a war New York dragged me into, I have the option to do something excellent.
I take the national decision, and I change to the nation of New England, giving me cores on all of my provinces, as well as a sweet new flag!
My old leader dies, and I get a new one after a vote. He is a 7, 7, 5, so I'll be keeping him around as well.
And now, here is a map of the (Un)United States. Deseret has been formed by California. Texas and Oklahoma are rivals. Nebraska and North Dakota seem to be as well.
Wisconsin is powerful in the Midwest. Florida has taken out Georgia. New York is ridiculously powerful.
This map shows the current situation, but don't expect it to stay constant for very long.

Looks like you'll need to ally Virginia to take down New York. So far though, you're doing really well! Does New England have any interesting missions like Massachusetts did?
Some interesting early consolidation. New York will need an attack quickly or they will expand more and you'll never break out. Ideally you need access to other borders to expand your realm.
Excellent first update. New York is kinda scary. So you'll have to take them down soon, or maybe take out Virginia and try to contain them that way.
Colonise the Canadian lands north of New York and attack them in a pincer movement from the north and east.
Regarding Canada - any plans on creating the states like you have for the US ones?
