If you can finagle a organizer leader you can get Tywin to chase you around in circles all day long, also get Margery the Reach will help a lot.

I haven't really won with Robb straight up though, when I finally figured out what should have been a winning strategy the Greyjoys attacked Tywin and the Vale joined me. This left Me, the Reach, and the Vale to gang up on Joff while Tywin was otherwise occupied. Can't count on that kind of luck though.

Is it random whether or not Balon decides to attack the North? Cause he always seems to launch a day one invasion after you unpause, regardless of who you are playing as.

I've also noticed that Bran being educated by Maester Luwin (a Crownlander) gives a nasty -25 malus to your vassals, so you might want to fix that before Robb has a son.

At the start of the scenario Balon gets an event that lets him either declare war on the North or on the Westerlands. The AI is scripted to usually pick the North.

Kill Melisandre and/or Stannis right at the start, if you can save Renly he'll take a big chunk out of the kings landing armies, or perhaps even beat them and you can take kings landing from the now severely weakened occupier, for some reason tywin doesnt ever send his armies to bail out kings landing if it's sieged. take the red keep and you win the war, then you can take out balon at leisure.
