Would it be possible to add a sticky thread with a list of the file types that are required to be edited to change, or tweak a scenario?

I have gleaned a couple of the requirements through searches, but not all. For example, do leader changes go in the leader.[country tag] file or the HistoricalLeaders.xls or leaders.txt or all three?

Leaders for Holland for example go in leaders.hol AFAIKAT. Depends how much u wanna edit anyway.

Making another appeal here, as I can only succeed in crashing the game when launching my attempts at a new scenario.

Sadly I'm by ni means an expert, basically it's trial and error and re-installs here, but about the leaders did u take valid ids ?

Hey BiB, I finally got different leaders to work (I'm just playing around, to see what I can change. Still get crashes trying to switch provinces, and move capitals. I was just curious as to exactly how many text files can be changed for a scenario.

The text files go very easy for me. As long as u don't mess with the structure I have found about everything goes. Switching provinces in the .inc file was actually one of the first things I did and also easiest IMO. Might be cuz I immediately did it the right way though.

When switching provinces at the start u basically have to change the owned/controlled numbers of the 2 countries and drag the province info from one to the new country.

I think I may have found the problem, had my editor configured the way I like to write java. So it was chopping lines around, and overwriting delimeters.

Finally, got something working without crashing

Good news! I once had to look quite a bit and the error in the end turned out to be that I had put an ) instead of }
