Hi folks!

I basically know how creating custom color correction profile, namely LUT (Look Up Table), looks like:

...but I've been wondering, what Photoshop/GIMP (or some other app) tools and technique I could use to change only particular colors of a LUT (within some range)?

It's pretty straightforward to change saturation or color balance for the entire LUT, that as a result affects the whole color palette. But what if I want to make e.g. #FFFFFF white (and its nearest light gray tones) less bright (apart from lowering light intensity with a mod), without making noon appear like an afternoon, or improve grass color, without affecting all other colors that much, or at all.

I find Realistic II https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=523899106 LUT the most tailored among all I've found, making the scene to look rather naturally after lowering global & ambient light intensity (example: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1fScdvh0dqflF5Eb8CZ4LCld0Gi23eH5b), but still some models unnaturally shine like crazy (example: https://drive.google.com/open?id=11vb9RfZknhOGoOJ1L7iwkOi0dGdCiV34).

...mainly because of some models bad design, I would say - nothing is #FFFFFF white in real life, while in Cities Skylines some textures are, considering Cities' default light settings in Unity engine. Even in bright daylight, white objects shouldn't be glossy like a mirror pointing directly at the sun.

PS:
Even if possible, I think doing LUT's pixel-by-pixel alterations is a bit too tedious :)

Thanks!
