How to change the language of your CK

If Paradox doesn't like this, feel free to delete it (or ask me too)...

START --> RUN--> type REGEDIT and press OK --> HKEY_LOAL_MACHINE --> SOFTWARE --> PARADOX ENTERTAINEMENT --> select the entry CRUSADER KINGS and in the window on the right you'll see an entry called LANG --> right click on it and select MODIFY-->

Replace English with whatever language you want... e.g. French, Italian, German etc.

Go down to version number (or where it's called something similar) and change 1.03.02.00 (i.e. 1.03b patch) to 1.03.01.00 (i.e. we're gonna pretend we're 1.03a). Now we're done in regedit - close the program.

Now download the 1.03b patch for whichever language you choose, and install it like the normal 1.03b patch.

In the italian (sure) and french (maybe) version of the 1.03b patch isnt included the config folder and its files... IE, the game texts arent in the patch archives for this two languages.

This because, probably, Paradox sent to the italian and french publishers (for the national releases) a CK with the engine uptaded at 1.02 (as the screen says after installing the game) but with texts already updated to 1.03b.

This way, the updater dont have to contain any native language text file... IE, applying the italian (im not sure of the french one) patch 1.03b over an english CK, dont change the copy language, but keep it in english.

It can be with all other 1.03b versions of CK. Maybe not.

It does work with French, as this was how I tested it (unless for some freaky reason I already had French language text files)...

I Haven't confirmed it with any other language though.
