Being a newbie in MP I really appreciated the huge work which was done in the FAQ. However, I had a problem with how to deal with the save files and couldn’t find it in the FAQ. We played a game with friends, one was dropped, so we left after having saved. However we couldn’t restart the game as the other players didn’t have the save. What kind of save should I send them ? A zip file with the .eug and .eug.cfg files or the EU2 compressed file ?

thank you

Thanks now, I’ll try it tonight, and we’ll be able to go beyond the first crash :D

Couldn't they just load the game, during the country selection screen? Any one who doesn't already have the save should begin automaticaly downloading once the host has selected it.

Yes, but that's sooooo much slower than sending it by icq or mail or something.

we tried to do it tonight but it didn't work. we all play with the same version. Could it be because some are using modems? or is it something else we need to do?

I have heard (though I don't know for sure) that people with DirectX9.0 cannot dowload in-game and have to get the file some other way.

Hello,

I am pretty sure that DX9.0 causes the problem as I was able to DL in the room before installing it and now I can't after installing it. Any ideas on how to uninstall it since it doesn't have a uninstaller and I don't want to restore all the way back to that point? I have tried to just reinstall 8.1 over 9.0 but it doesn't seem to work as it detects a new version and won't allow me to install it.

Thanks,
Juice
