how to disable basic mages?

Does there any ability to delete from the pool the basic mages? I made 8 moded predefined mages and every time choosing is a hard option.
If it is availiable somehow in some way it could solve the problem with new map modding - new mages would be only that there is in the pool left, no undesirabe ones

One addition
Tal Kalessil doesn't has function to disable. Because he is dlc, yes?-))
in mage list he doesnt show, but in choosings - it apears. And well, 158 patch solve the issue with mage choosing when playing the mod-map. Yahooo

That is correct. You cannot edit anything marked as DLC.

What about direct edits from mod xml file?
There's got to be a way to disable DLC stuff somehow, for mods.

It can actually be done through xml, though I would be careful with putting DLC items in a mod. Just disabling them should be okay though.

I guess modding DLC items, as long as it still requires owning DLC item, would be Ok too.
