Hello,

I played more than 100 hours on Stellaris 3.2.2 (GOG).
I have some saved games for this version.
I uninstalled Stellaris 3.2.2 (GOG) and installed Stellaris 3.3.4 (GOG).
I see a message when I launch the game.

It is said that I have to follow the link to revert Stellaris to a previous version.
However, there is no information about this when I click on the link.
In GOG, when I go to Stellaris > right click > Manage installation... > Configure..., Stellaris 3.2.2 is not available.

I found a post explaining how to revert Stellaris to a previous version but it is for Steam, not for GOG.
I also found some Stellaris versions on the GOG website (offline installers) but Stellaris 3.2.2 is not available.

So my question is: How to downgrade to version 3.2.2? (GOG)

Thank you.
Best regards.

Just to make sure, in the second picture there is an option to show more versions
I assume that the 3.2.2 patch is not listed there

I did a quick search and found something on the GoG forum pertaining to this subject from back in Feb

While it doesn't go into exact detail, it says that this can be achieved via GoG Galaxy
Though that only holds the last 5 versions

Anything beyond that you need to link your GoG account to your Paradox Account

True.
When I click on the option, nothing happens.

Indeed, I have to link the GOG account to the Paradox account.
In order to do that, I followed instructions I found on the Internet.
Here are the steps I followed:
1) Go to the GOG website
2) Go to Account > Games > Stellaris > More > Serial Keys and get your code here
3) Go to the Paradox Plaza website
4) Go to Account > Codes and Drops
5) Insert the code here then press the Redeem button
So now when I go to the Paradox Plaza website, Account, Games, I can see the Stellaris game but how to downgrade to version 3.2.2 please? (GOG)

Unless GoG provide a facility for distributing old or alternate game versions, this is not possible I'm afraid. I know that Epic and Microsoft do not.

For more detail please contact GoG support.

True.

While I don't know the exact details or process, it is possible to play older versions of Stellaris via GoG Galaxy, at least according to various GoG Forum posts and some other info that I am able to find

https://www.gog.com/galaxy

I can't find any tutorial videos that aren't Steam related, so OP you might need to fiddle around with it for a bit

Again, it should be noted that Galaxy only holds the last 5 versions, so at some point you will need to either find an independent download of that version of the game [that is a rabbit hole I won't go down], deal with updating the game to a version you don't like, or take a bullet and buy it on Steam next sale so the process is much easier [and Steam holds onto most if not all previous versions of the game]

I am not sure if it is because of a bug in GOG or because I linked my GOG account to my Paradox account but now when I click on "Show more versions" I see more than 2 versions of the game and 3.2.2 is still there!
I will download it and store it on a disk so I will be able to play it forever even when it will disappear from the version list in GOG.

Anyway, it is sad to see that I can't get access to versions older than 3.2.2.
I watched some videos of older versions and there are some cool features in these versions I would like to try.
It seems that buying the game on Steam is better than buying the game on other platforms.
On Steam, you have access to more versions of the game.
I hope that Paradox will fix that one day.

That'd be more up to GoG to fix than it would be Paradox

I single them out because the way the Microsoft Store works, they can't offer old versions at all [this also applies to the console edition of the game, but that's separate]

anyway, glad I could offer up some help
enjoy your stellaris nonsense

It may be that 3.2.2 was the first version ever ported to the GoG platform. If that is so, then older versions will not be provided there I'm afraid!
