Yes, I have done it, as I have said, I find problems in loading the edited save game files. But anyway, thanks for your reply.

Guessing.

EU is very tempermental to changes to the files and the file system when it is running. End EU if you are going to edit any savegame values. Restart after you are done.

If this is not the case... Seems that just changing BB values should not corrupt a save game. I have made very extreme edits to savegames and not had problems. In case you have not done this, always save your edits into a different file, then copy the ...eug.cfg file and rename it to have the same name as your new file, with the .eug.cfg extensions. This way, if things do not work out (either as you intended, or with a crash), you still have the original save game.

Is it true that I can edit the BB in my save game files through the wordpad?I have tried and can't load my save files again after editing it.

Not sure, unless a different file format was used by the editor. Have you tried it with Notepad instead of Wordpad? Notepad (or the DOS edit utility) poses no risk of changing the format.

At some point, they did make an upgrade to Notepad to handle large files. I don't know whether it was was Win98 or what. NT4.0/2000 and ME both can open very large files with Notepad.

Wordpad has a tendecy to save files with a .txt at the end. You have to remove it if it does.
