What file is it in? I'd like to change the starting succession laws of the Byzantine Empire, but can't figure out what file has 'em.

Well, in "\Crusader Kings II\history\titles\e_byzantium.txt" defines their Centralization (Royal Authority) back in 244.2.11->Onwards, so maybe the rest are the default?

Hmmm, that could be. I poured over that file, never thought of it defaulting to gavelkind.

in a general manner CK2 puts default value to a lots of undefined things.
No ruler at a certain date for X province ? generate it !
No gender specified for a character ? it's a man !
No capital set for a province ? take the first one !
.......etc etc !
