How to ensure I get a specific breakthrough?

I only bought the game for the Diamond Dome and the Oval Dome, now I realized that I might not even have those techs lined up to appear in my current playthrough (or the next) as there is only a 19/55 chance for a particular technology to show up in each playthrough, and a much lower chance to get both or all three techs that I consider very important for a satisfying game.

Is there any way whatsoever to ensure these two techs (plus a few interesting others such as Nano Refinement) eventually appear in the "breakthrough" technologies of my current game? I know there are mods that turn the Oval and Diamond domes into regular technologies, but is there a way to do it for any arbitrary breakthrough?

Any script, mod, or maybe hacking the save game files?

Help appreciated.
