I bought Europa Univeralis III Gold and Rome Gold in a store about a year ago. I have the little paper that came with Rome with my serial key on it so I was able to register that game on this forum. However, EUIII frustrated me so much when I first tried to learn to play it that I ended up tossing it in my closet in a fit of rage. Now several months have gone by. I have figured out the game and am having fun trying to conquer Europe as Burgundy or dominating the eastern Mediterranean as a resurgent Byzantine Empire.

I want to get into modding, something that inevitably requires posting in the EUIII sub forum. I can't though, because I don't have the game registered. I looked through my registry for the serial key but the code next to EUIII in the registry was not accepted by the forum. Does anyone know of a way that I can find out my serial key or am I going to have to resort to playing the lottery with keygen's (the lottery being "am I going to get a virus if I download this?"). I assure you I bought the game in stores, if I need to I can post a pic of the case, disc, etc.

I also bought Mount&Blade and Mount&Blade: Warband over the internet. I have my Mount&Blade serial key but, unfortunately, you guys don't have a sub-forum for the Most Awesome original. I think I must have deleted the email with my Warband key. Again, looking through the registry was no help. If anyone can help me I would be eternally grateful.

*Dances for joy*

Apparently I was looking in the wrong part of the directory. I just got Warband to work! On the downside, I can't seem to find EUIII.

Thanks but now I can't find the key. More precisely, I am 99.99% sure that it's not a key for paradox but a key for my computer; it's mostly 0's and a few lowercase letters. EUIII seems to have installed differently than other games; is it possible that the key is being blocked by some kind of over-the-top anti-piracy software?

Joyous News!

I was tearing up the house today and found the GamersGate card that came with the box. And upon it was printed the Serial Key! I registered EU3 Complete and it worked! Now, on to figuring out that multiplayer....

If it was on a gamersgate card you can probably register it on gamersgate to get access to a digital copy. Might be a good idea, that way you can download the game again should the disc be lost or damaged.
