This has me puzzled and I do not know how to fix it...

AI NZL does a fine job of sending expeditionary forces to AI UK in the various theathers (Middle East, England, the Burma front, etc).

But AI CAN and AI AUS are totally passive and keep their land units on home soil (AI AUS not even defending New Guineau :-(

I have made sure that AI CAN and AI AUS have sufficient transports, but still no change.

Comparing the AI script for valiant NZL to passive CAN AND AUS I can not tell what makes the difference :-(

What am I missing???

ai only gives expforces when you have a land connection to a supply depot. so take command of your allies and ship them to your land. once arrived return military command and they will give you the troops.

would that mean if you eg create an impassable land connection between eg London and montreal, Canda would send some?

on the other hand, i don't like the exp forces to much. all officers from destroyed divisions end up in the officers pool of the receiving nation, so in 1950 uk is full of french, nepalese, south african, iraqi and what not officers (and those are missing for their mother countries, esp south africa).

like how? mod the land connection lines in the province files? would actually be fun do try! yes they should send troops then but your game might chrash or some so I suggest to just take mill control and ship the desired troops to england or egypt or india or wherever you need them. once you have unloaded them you can return control and recive these troops as exp forces.

if you think about it is is actually quite illocical for a country to give troops away if they are still stationed on home soil and this ground isn't even threatened. uk would control canadas troops but canada would still have to give them supplies and couldnt use them themselves or the troops.

didnt notice that before - strange that is - you could refuse exp forces in the diplomacy menue for allied countries. for the ai it isnt so bad since in AoD there are unlimited officers of any rank since. they are undefined yes and offer no bonuses but at least ai does not have only general majors anymore to use.

no via AoD/map/adj-devs. the CORE-mod has this between Vienna and Timisoara/ROM, just one line and you're done (just other IDs)
- besides its useful to remove those in egypt to be able to release egypt as a puppet.

thats not true (or i really must have missed a lot). these are the generics who never gain any skills, XP and such; just a name, actually.

you are right. what i have seen must be generals without pictures then. is it possible to mod the generic generals that they all have at least one skill point then?

nope. one more reason to hunt down more generals.

there are some pics missing in AoD, eg Blackader http://generals.dk/general/Blackader/Kenneth_Gault/Canada.html from Canada and an US-Admiral. probably even more.
which country is needed?
