I just finished up my first attempt at a one faith, I typically prefer to play tall, and was unsuccessful. I had played as Austria and fed a lot of land to Byzantium, Bremen, and Avignon hoping that they would convert provinces. They all had religious ideas and have missionary strength in national ideas, I build cathedrals in their provinces, and I heavily subsidized them - around 30 ducats/month. In spite of this, they converted very few provinces - I think that Byzantium did 3 or 4. I was calling them into wars, and Bremen was having separatist rebel issues. Is there anything else that I could do to promote conversion in vassals? Does not calling them into war make much of a difference?
