how to install a patch ?

The question may seem a bit stupid but….

I’ve recently bought CK + Deus Vult via downloading. Installation was successful.

When I try to download / install a patch, I am provided with a .rar file quich contains a bunch of Xcell files but I am still wondering where to extract them ..

A given patch veen tell me that Xcell file are missing

As U can see, I am a bit lost. Till now, patching for me was a mere click & wait activity

Would you please tell me what should I patch, in which order and how..

Install the patch (the .rar-file) into your main Crusader Kings directory. Which if you have installed it on its default path is

C:\program files\paradox interactive\crusader kings

Then right click on the .rar file and select the option 'extract here'.

The patched files are now installed on their correct places
