How to lower graphics beyond what the game allows?

I'm not really sure if it's possible, but I bought this game on a whim, hearing that it's a lot of fun, but despite it looking like a PC from 2003 could handle it(I personally love the graphics. No bashing intended), it apparently requires settings beyond something like Modern Warfare.

I'm wondering if I can lower the quality lower than the game allows. I have them on the very lowest res/everything and it's still frame-y.

EDIT: I've tried it in windowed with lowest settings. It doesn't help too much. My PC sucks but I think that running Modern Warfare 2 would make my PC able to handle Magicka. Or at least, that's what I assumed.

There are my bad specs. I know integrated GFX cards suck. And I realize there is more to it than just how good the graphics are, but I just can't understand the poor performance when Modern Warfare 2 runs fine. (CoD4 runs perfectly on medium)

Also, thanks, I'll check out steam forums!

Hi IcarusLives
( If you hit the "Save all information" in the DX-window you can save a textfile containing everything about your computer. )

About lowering graphic requirement. And the post at steam for "Possible Fix for "Texture Width/Height too large" error"
That is now already included in the game. Texture resolution is changed, so for the full game this "fix" should be obsolite. Sure, you can try this, and go back with simply verifying game, but I don't believe it will do you any good. I'm sorry, but your GeForce 9100 is so far below specs, it's really a small wonder the game even launch.

You simply need better graphics. The 9100 is similar to a standard Intel GMA X 4500. Not even meant for gaming of any kind.

As for the "Why not Magicka, Warfare 2 runs fine".
Have been explained on numerous occations.
The very short version is. Magicka's XNA game engine is freeware. Game done by a small studio with very limited resources. It's their first game ever. When comparing, you need to compare with another game, using same complexity, also done by a small dev team, using XNA ...

Thank you for the response.

I downloaded Nhancer (allows you to make profiles for each game in your nvidia control panel) and made Magicka run without any AA/VSync/etc.

The game now runs pretty good in windowed mode, but not where I'd like it to be.

Unfortunately, when I bought this PC, I didn't know anything about computers, which is why my GFX is so terrible.

Magicka seems like such a fun game, so it's really lame that my PC won't run it smoothly.
